his career

→ he made his musical debut in 2008 as a member of an underground hip hop group called soul connection under the alias of jepp blackman.
→ in march 2011, he featured on song jieun's single "going crazy".
→ in july of that year he released his first solo digital single, "i remember", featuring beast/highlight's yoseob.
→ in november he promoted in a sub-unit called bang & zelo, releasing the single "never give up".
→ b.a.p -kpop group where he's the leader and rapper- released their first single in january 2012. however, in 2018, he left ts ent. and started his solo career.
→ due to the problems with ts ent, in 2015 yongguk released a song called 'am 4:44' where he expresses his feelings at that time.
→ in march 2019, he released his first solo album, bang yongguk. in april of that year, he participated in a mbc project with the song 'coming home', and in july, he gifted 'orange drive' to his fans because he had to enlist of mandatory military service. nevertheless, he was discharged on may 18th, 2021.
→ he participated on the production of get away and damage, just b' songs.
→ in july 8th, 2021, he featured on jongup' song, 'photo'.
→ in the same month, he featured with the magazine 'maps'.

→ he has two siblings, a twin brother and a older sister, also has a dog named tigger and his role model is his deceased grandfather.

→ he has multiple tattoos, including:

→ since his beginnings as an idol, he was characterized as someone concerned about social issues: "if we don't talk about those issues, then who would do it?". this motivated both bap members and fans to donate and care about others. (if you want to know more, you can read this thread).
→ yongguk produced the majority of bap songs, but with 'noir' he also designed the cover inspired by jongup (bap member).
→ he may look intimidating, but he loves tigger (the winnie pooh character) and according to bap members, he pets the fluffy toys when they go to the mall.
→ in 2019, he published a photobook called 'the best is yet to come' (you can read it here).
→ in 2018, yongguk filmed a documentary called 'something to talk about' and released it in 2019. in september, this documentary was shown at dmz documentary films festival.
